Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) is planning to strengthen efforts to target the Cuban market for export, through its Caribbean and Latin American market development strategy.
This initiative coincides with the decision of the United States and Cuba to resume diplomatic relations.
JAMPRO President Diane Edwards has been meeting with Cuban authorities to develop solutions that would encourage more trade between both countries.
Due to the close geographical location and long-term relationship between the two countries, Ms. Edwards believes Jamaica will be able to benefit from Cuba’s opening market.
