Jamaican business opportunities will be revealed as more than 60 Jamaican and international speakers explore investment prospects at the country’s premier business event, the Jamaica Investment Forum (JIF), on June 12-14 in Montego Bay. The Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica, host of JIF 2018, will give the keynote address.
The stellar list of speakers includes international investors Wes Edens, Co-Founder of Fortress Investment Group, Bob Dechant, CEO of ibex, and Andrew Chapman, Founder of Chapman Ventures. Jamaican investors Hon. Michael Lee-Chin, Yoni Epstein, and Omar Azan, and other private sector representatives such as President and CEO of the Jamaica Public Service, Emanuel DaRosa, Kingston Wharves CEO Grantley St. John Stephenson, Managing Director of FLOW Jamaica, Stephen Price, and Managing Director of J. Wray & Nephew Limited, Jean-Philippe Beyer will be leading discussions at the conference.
Jamaican government ministers will also be speaking at the event to shed light on the country’s economic progress and opportunities for business in Jamaica. The group includes Honourable Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries and Honourable Daryl Vaz, Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.
During the three-day conference, the speakers will participate in 14 sessions covering Jamaica’s business landscape. The country’s advancements in technology, economic growth strategy and growing business potential will be explored by the panelists. Investors in attendance will get the opportunity to speak with persons who have already invested in Jamaica, as well as view testimonials from others.
