Round Hill Hotel & Villas was ranked as the No. 1 family friendly resort in the Caribbean by US based Family Vacation Critic, TripAdvisor’s family-focused travel site.
Round Hill topped more than 750 hotels which were named as 2017 Family Vacation Critic Favorites, representing the top six percent of hotels on the site. It shows that the island can offer a world leading product.
“We are truly privileged to have been recognized by Family Vacation Critic,” said Round Hill’s managing director, Josef Forstmayr, about the award given at the end of May. “Our inclusion at the top of this list of outstanding family resorts underscores the immense contribution of our dedicated staff and our evolving family-friendly programmes at the resort. We are grateful for this accolade and look forward to upholding this placement while continuing to be the preferred Caribbean resort for families.”
In gaining the award, the resort had to be designated a Family Vacation destination and recommended by over 75 percent of families. Each property on ‘Family Vacation Critics’ exceeded a strict list of family-specific criteria, having been highly-rated by family travelers and personally vetted by Family Vacation Critic’s team of family travel experts.
The hotel sits on a lush 110-acre peninsula in Western Jamaica. Boasting a guest list of world leaders, cultural icons and Hollywood A-listers.
Every hotel listed on Family Vacation Critic has been hand-selected as appropriate for families. Each hotel profile on the site highlights amenities of particular interest to families – from baby equipment to complimentary Wi-Fi – and lists can be filtered by age to find the best hotel for every age group.
Accommodations include 36 Ralph Lauren-designed oceanfront guest rooms, 90 luxurious villa rooms and suites or a selection of 27 private 2 – 6 bedroom Villas – most with private pools. Other highlights include open-air terrace dining and The Grill at Round Hill, award-winning family programs, an infinity pool, tennis courts, and an Elemis spa located in a beautifully-restored 18th century plantation house.
