Jampro, Jamaica’s trade and investment promotion agency, is expressing optimism, following a trade mission which it led to Canada recently, and which showed that there is a high demand for Jamaican products in that country.
Jampro said the mission included six companies: Honey Bun, Carita Jamaica, Rio Grande Farms, Southside Distributors, E.G. Wellness Brands and Lasco Manufacturing.
The mission, which took place from September 28 to October 2, was to identify and pursue more export opportunities in the Canadian market.
Jampro said, so far, orders have been made for products valued at $4 million, and other entities are in negotiations with buyers.
