So far, the mobile business clinic initiative, which is free to the public, has reached well over 1,100 small and medium-size business and the intention is that it will continue to give an equal opportunity to entrepreneurs and businesses owners across the island to access services and assistance that would be otherwise not be easily accessible.
As it continues to make an impact across the island, on Tuesday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 1, the initiative will move to Clarendon, where it will be hosted at the National Commercial Bank (NCB) parking lot in May Pen.
The event allows for individuals to engage in workshops, live discussions and networking activities that will assist them in maintaining, growing and developing effective businesses and business ideas.
Additionally, the two-day event facilitates interaction between patrons and private as well as public-sector institutions such as the Rural Agricultural Development Authority,, Self Start Fund, Bureau of Standards Jamaica, Jamaica Logistics Hub Secretariat and the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office. In addition to general sessions, there is provision for one-on-one sessions, catering to specific needs.
The public/private-sector initiative is jointly sponsored by NCB, the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce and Fidelity Motors.
Other public/private-sector partners include Columbus Business Solutions, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Development Bank of Jamaica, Fair Trading Commission, the Trade Board, Consumer Affairs Commission, Food Safety & Prevention of Infestation Division, Jamaica Promotions Corporation, and the Jamaica Urban Transit Company.
