JAMPRO’s new Film Commissioner Renee Robinson
KINGSTON, Jamaica – JAMPRO, the government’s national investment and export promotion agency, has announced the appointment of a new Film Commissioner.
Tasked with galvanising the local film and creative industries portfolio, is Renee Robinson, who is expected to officially take up office on February 1, 2016.
Robinson, who is returning to Jamaica from Canada, is a multi-lingual cultural industry strategist whose work also spans across Europe, South Africa and the Caribbean.
With over a decade of senior management experience in content programming, regulation/policy, strategic planning and industry intelligence, Robinson’s experience stretches along the verticals of film, television, digital media, arts and culture, entertainment and communications.
