JAMPRO Lauds Corporate Area Business Services Operation

President of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), Diane Edwards has lauded the efforts of The Business District in continuously facilitating business promotion and development in Jamaica.

The facility, located at 22B Old Hope Road, is Jamaica’s only private serviced office complex and new-business incubator and has been the office home, start-up place and transition location for dozens of businesses since its inception in 2011.

On a recent tour of the facility, Mrs. Edwards expressed that it is a “great addition to the business services operation in Jamaica as it allows for businesses coming in and starting up to have a place that is virtual and low cost.”

She pledged JAMPRO’s support in “promoting The Business District as a potential location for incoming companies….we will help to promote them on our website and through the recently launched interactive web-based platform, Global Business Connect,” the President said.

Highlighting the service offerings, Managing Director at The Business District, Maria Jones noted that the entity rents fully furnished smart offices and meeting rooms on hourly, daily, weekly and monthly arrangements.

The company also rents its business address and virtual offices for businesses that do not need physical offices in addition to a wide range of business support services.

“The District is particularly attractive to new businesses because start-up capital is eliminated or delayed, overhead costs are low and the environment is secure and professional,” Mrs. Jones outlined.

She added that foreign and local investors have the advantage of instant offices and facilities, which enable them to focus on the core tasks associated with establishing their local business.
